How does this work?

I am a physician-scientist specializing in clinical nephrology with an interest in renal physiology/epithelial transport. I have extensive knowledge in electrophysiology and molecular biology and am gaining expertise in molecular genetics and bioengineering during my post-doctoral training focusing on investigating function in kidney microphysiological systems. Clinically, I see general nephrology patients and attend on the Nephrology ICU service. I have diverse interests ranging from diabetic kidney disease with new therapies including SGLT2i, GLP1Ra, and nonsteroidal Mineralocorticoid receptor antagonists.

Goldfinch Bio is a biotechnology company that is singularly focused on discovering and developing precision therapies for kidney disease. Just as the goldfinch was a prominent figure of the Renaissance, Goldfinch Bio is leading a new age of therapeutic discovery to transform the treatment paradigm for patients with kidney disease. At Goldfinch, we’re pioneering a new approach to discover and develop therapeutics that target the molecular basis of kidney disease. Where others see risk, we see opportunity to make an impact and redefine the state of care for patients with kidney disease. We recognize the importance of collaboration, and strive to work alongside patients, clinicians and other partners to empower patients and develop treatments for conditions where no approved therapies exist. We’re looking for teammates who relish the challenge, and are compelled to leave a positive mark on the lives of colleagues and patients alike.
