Associate Vice President Enterprise Infrastructure Services

Oversee Infrastructure, Platform engineering design, delivery and operations for all Molina business units. Manage 75 full time employees that manage storage, database, middleware, system integration, ERP, Big Data, EDW, open source and forward engineering, responsible in making high-value decision on strategy and implementation. Part of IT leadership team drove the strategy to establish robust and agile IT platform in order to support company growth and archive operational efficiency. Current budgetary responsibilities are $105M in Operating Expense and $55M in Capital Projects. Dynamic data center ready for next generation healthcare Data Analytics AI. Major Accomplishments: •Core member for the executive team responsible for providing annual roadmap, budget items and financial justification including total cost of ownership of current and future technology investments to the Chief Information Office •Cost saving strategy across Infrastructure, architecture implementation of load balancer to open source Nginx and saving multi-million compared to hardware load balancer. •Managing Analytic team that took initiative to implement 60+ node of Pivotal Hadoop system with three level architecture. Cloudera along with Palantir, Tableau will help Molina healthcare on BI-Analytics and descriptive/predictive analytics. The cluster configured with various Open-Source micro services such as (Data Science, Ignite, Kylin, Presto, Phoenix, Streamsets, Presto, Kafka…) along with MariaDB, Polybase. •To improve performance and reduce the Data Center floor space, Implementing next generation NVM (3D-XPoint) for persistent data along with Ignite/Spark to improve performance for large data-sets. By 2018 plan to invest on NVM at Molina reducing storage footprint. Collaborating with Hardware vendor on NVM prototype. Next generation Data center with GPU technology ready for advanced analytic.
