How does this work?

I have never been afraid to ask questions. This natural curiosity led me to my work in integrated marketing communications. Every day, I get to put my passion to work through developing solutions to better connect brands to their customers. When it comes to my multidisciplinary communications background, I’ve tackled everything from 24/7 social media management to on-camera media appearances. I’m used to balancing multiple projects, working on tight deadlines, maximizing limited resources, and pushing creative boundaries.

West Michigan Critter Haven is a 501c3 non-profit rabbit and small animal rescue. Our mission is to rescue domestic rabbits and other small animals within our community and find them new homes. We also support our local shelters in the care of their rabbits, educate the community on the proper and responsible care of small companion animals and ultimately reduce the number of abandoned and neglected pets relinquished in West Michigan. In my role, I lead all communications efforts including media relations, social media management, and website content development and management. I also manage relationships with foster families including onboarding, day-to-day support, and guidance. Other duties include adoption counseling, event planning, and more.

I support the creative and strategic vision and execution of integrated marketing communications for The Rapid’s internal and external audiences. This includes creating cohesion in planning all traditional, digital, social media, grassroots, email and content marketing, and communications functions. In my role, I serve as the brand manager and creative director for all digital and print assets with a goal of ensuring brand uniformity and positive customer experience. I also own the messaging and monitoring of all digital presences including, but not limited to, The Rapid's website, blog and social media. My functions are highly collaborative and intertwine with all departments.
