This ranges from business scenarios like Product Recommendations and Text Analytics (part of the Microsoft Cognitive Services suite), to consumer experiences like http://How-Old.Net and Project Murphy. I spend most of my days helping partners and customers envision what's possible with AI, ML and cognitive services, building the technologies and products that make it easier to transform their data into intelligence actions and insights.

    Big Data Incubation Group Manager
    I created and ran an incubation group focused around Big Data analytics on top of Azure. The goal was to grow a "startup inside Microsoft", focused on higher-level services for big data analytics built on top of our Azure stack. We explored several technologies, and ended up building a Recommendation Engine as a Service, now available as part of Microsoft's Cognitive Services. As part of this work I built and managed a team of engineers, PMs and data scientists, partnering across Microsoft to deliver a successful service. The incubation has successfully graduated into the newly founded Azure Machine Learning org.

    I was part of a turnaround mission for a product group based on a start-up acquisition in the Data Quality space (Zoomix). I established and managed the PM team, re-defining the product vision, strategy, user experience, and engineering roadmap and plans, all the way to releasing it as part of Microsoft's SQL Server 2012.

    The Microsoft Israel Telecom organization built cloud services and building blocks for cloud-based experienced that connect Telecom networks with Microsoft. The products are deployed with multiple operators over the Microsoft cloud environment. I started as the first engineering hire of the incubation team as helping to build this organization from scratch, establish the vision and the business strategy, and engage with tier-1 operators around the world. I grew the team from zero to ~120 engineers & PMs, with a unique startup culture and a results-driven, can-do attitude.
