• Conduct research for Professor Robert Salomon by devising a model to evaluate risk premiums data between countries • Presented model to Stern faculty and PhD students, leading to five colleagues incorporating the model in research projects • Developed code in Python and R to examine relevant data and model the relationship between operating leverage and CAPM–the results of this analysis were incorporated into a working research paper • Assist Professor Gian Luca Clementi on research seeking to improve the beta estimate in CAPM

• Led a team of four in an overnight competition to develop and present strategic recommendations that cut costs and improved operations for a health care provider • Presented improvements to a telecom firm’s employee compensation structure, IT infrastructure, and market strategy, which were recognized by a panel of judges for most original and feasible • Analyzed projected risks and returns associated with the telecom firm’s product offerings in Latin American markets in order to set up strategic initiative that would increase revenue by 20%

County Commissioners' Intern

Invited to intern with the Chairman of the Commission. Reviewed multiple departments, prioritized their importance, and reported on their performance. Assisted the County Commissioners with upcoming bills • Studied different organization and their interactions during the oil spill to keep Sarasota’s beach protected, between parks department, Coastal Wildlife, NOAA, Coast Guard. Result: no oil effects on Sarasota’s beaches. • Consulted the Commissioners on bills and ordinances, cross-examined citizens that came up to the dais to voice their concerns.

Economic Development Corporation of Sarasota County

Board Member

Selected to be a board member; decided stances on legal and community issues that involved development projects. Budgeted the organizations balance sheet for multiple events, staff’s pay and future projects. Founding board member of the joint Sarasota-Manatee County Business Incubator, to be complete in a couple of years. • Negotiated and approved strategies for bring economic growth to the county. Result: USA Master Swimmers to base headquarters in Sarasota, adding jobs to the county. • Conducted research for business incubator, investigated competitors’ strategies, and recommended changes to the current idea of a Sarasota-Manatee Business Incubator. Result: approval of business plan.
