I provided research, writing, and communications for the Lee Kuan Yew Chair in Southeast Asia Studies. I co-authored a book chapter on Singapore’s balancing relations with China and the United States with former senior fellow Joseph Liow, and I have co-authored numerous papers and blog posts with Jonathan Stromseth. I also managed web content for the Brookings Center for East Asia Policy Studies. I conducted research and editing assistance on two Brookings Institution Press books by the LKY Chair and organized dozens of public events and roundtables.

While at the National War College, I gained deep understanding of joint operation planning, irregular warfare (IW), and strategic direction, while writing teaching notes for the course 6200: "War, Statecraft and the Military Instrument of Power."​ I also developed expertise on the Islamic State (IS), counter-terrorism strategy, and information campaigns, to combat narratives of extremist ideology, while organizing 6300: "The Non-Military Instruments of Power."

I wrote three op-ed articles and one info-graphic for the CSIS blog, cogitAsia, and I co-wrote one commentary for the Southeast Asia newsletter with Senior Fellow and Deputy Director Murray Hiebert. I provided substantive research on Vietnam, Singapore, and the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) and facilitated major public and internal events at CSIS. In addition, I helped form the weekly newsletter with news item selections and substantial editing work. I acquired mastery of database software iMIS and Microsoft Office in professional usage.
