The Malkin and Hemenway Athletic Centers are gymnasiums which cater to undergraduate and law school students respectively offering a range of fitness services. As one of the managers, I promote saleof merchandise, fitness packages, and specialty / group classes. I have developed my leadership and communication skills through managing front desk staff of at least 2 people per shift and ensuring proper preparation of facilities. Through orienting gym patrons and prospective members I have developed my presentation skills. My job at the Malkin and Hemenway Athletic Centers allows me to help individuals take control of their fitness and lead healthier lives.

An Evening with Champions
An Evening with Champions is a student-run figure skating gala to benefit the Jimmy Fund, donating over $2.9 million in 45 years. As the Merchandise Chair, I minimize merchandise cost through negotiation with local organizations. In addition, I organize design and production of merchandise products as well as formalize pricing strategy for sales. In addition to merchandise logistics, I am also responsible for spearheading outreach to local and national organizations to organize silent auction items. I am proud to be a part of this board and contribute to the fund raising efforts of such a worthy organization

Medical and Research Shadowing
Working with the Atlantis Project was my first international professional experience and introduced me to navigation of professional settings in different cultures. While in Athens, I shadowed physicians and surgeons at Evangelismos and IASO General Hospitals for 120+ hours. Additionally, supported preliminary microbiological research related to pulmonary issues related to long-term intubation and ventilation utilizing mice. In preparing slides and examining tissue samples to determine impacts of experimentation on lung volume capacity, I developed my lab skills and discovered the importance of learning techniques quickly and with efficiency.

President of the Undergraduate Board at Harvard University
The Undergraduate Board at Harvard University offers extensive support to CleanAcwa, a social entrepreneurial 501(c)(3) focused on improving access to clean water, sanitation, and hygiene practices.Prior to becoming President, I participated in the research division of the undergraduate board working on sanitation issues affecting Ghana. While on the Executive Board, I created formal memos regarding on-site maintenance of sanitation systems in Ghana for government agencies. In order to discover innovative solutions to address sanitation issues in Ghana, I organized a competition with 25 diverse participants throughout the nation. My work with CleanAcwa has taught me about the many facets of a successful 501(c)(3) from fundraising and strategy to publicity and public education.

An Evening with Champions is a student-run figure skating gala to benefit the Jimmy Fund, donating over $2.9 million in 45 years. As the Skating with Champions Chair, I developed a fundraising campaign for the Jimmy Fund through increased outreach to local organizations. I am proud of my efforts which increased donations by over 400% to $14K, achieving a record number of donations in the competition.

Copy Cataloger at the Harvard Map Collection
The Harvard Map Collection is a special collections library within the Harvard University Library Network offering cartographic items and services to students, researchers, faculty, and associates of Harvard University. As a copy cataloger, I facilitated student and faculty research through research and analysis of 1500+ maps to determine historical data (date created, geographic area, publisher, copyright, etc.) Utilization of the OCLC reference system allowed me to catalog maps into Harvard’s Hollis Cataloging System enabling student and faculty research and use.
