Cogent Healthcare As the largest private hospitalist management company, Cogent provided full-service outsourced inpatient acute-care (hospitalist and intensivist) and post-acute solutions to health systems in 120 facilities with over 1000 physicians and allied providers. As a member of the executive leadership team, I had oversight of 25% of corporate accounts comprised of 27 acute or LTAC care and hospitals/integrated health systems in a 9 state market, associated with 10 intensive care programs. Post-corporate restructuring, designed and implemented a new BU structure. Direct reports: operations team, medical leadership team, staff hospitalists, recruiting team, billing and coding team • Financial- P/L responsibility for multi-million dollar margin BU. Led profitability through reduction of expenses and enhancement of revenue in same-store growth and quality outcomes. • Medical/practice- standardization of care, CQI across all programs chiefly through physician engagement. Improve efficiency/throughput, Quality metrics, IT. HR responsibilities of recruiting/retention and team-building. • Operational and managerial. Direct hospital administration/client interactions.
