How does this work?

Literary and freelance writer and mostly-but-not-entirely-retired consumer insights/innovation specialist. I am an author and teacher. My memoir in essays, "This All-at-Onceness," is available from Pact Press and on Amazon, and my novel, "Burning and Dodging," will be available from Black Rose Writing (and Amazon) in December, 2021. My business-related articles have appeared in The Harvard Business Review Online, Mashable, Marketing Week, Media Post, and other publications. I have published essays and short fiction in numerous literary journals, including Shenandoah, The Writer's Chronicle, Ninth Letter, The Tampa Review, and others. I am a former book reviewer for The Boston Globe and am a regular contributor to NPR station WBUR's journal of ideas and opinions, Cognoscenti. Links to most of my publications can be found at www.juliewittesschlack.com In a teaching capacity, I taught expository and memoir writing at Mt. Ida College, book reviewing and OpEd Writing in Lesley University's MFA program, have served as a Coach for The Memoir Project (coaching senior citizens in Boston neighborhoods in memoir writing), and taught Mindfulness and Memoir at Brookline's Center for Adult and Continuing Education. But I remain involved in consumer insights and technology innovation. I am a founder of C Space (formerly Communispace) Corporation and have helped to lead it from a ten-person start-up to an $85 million company employing nearly 500 people around the world. At C Space I research new trends and technologies and apply them towards enhancing collaboration between companies and consumers.
