About

I’m Samantha Ruth, and I’m a Transformational Psychologist, speaker, best selling author, and founder of Griefhab. I help people around the world turn their pain into their power by guiding them to be their true selves, by embracing their differences, and by living life on their own terms. I left my traditional practice in Michigan to marry my soulmate and had no idea how difficult it would be to start over in a new state. So I did it MY WAY. So believe me when I tell you that I get it. I’ve been there. I know what it’s like to want to shut the world out. To feel like no one else can possibly understand. ON A TYPICAL WEDNESDAY. IN A BLINK. And that’s exactly when you need someone the most. Someone who isn’t your family and isn’t going to judge you. And someone who IS available. That's what I provide - your service on your terms........And then life happened. My mission is to change the way the world views both grief and mental health, so people can openly speak about whatever issues they have and get the help they not only need but deserve without fear of judgment, labels, and repercussions. In my free time, you can find me and my pups, Sassy and Dallas, on one of our outdoor adventures. We love living in Colorado and never miss an opportunity to explore our beautiful surroundings. Music fuels my soul, family means everything to me, and honoring my late husband, Jim, and making him proud gives my life daily purpose. - 10,000 hours of coaching - 25 years of coaching Contact me to learn how to work with me individually or to learn how to have me as a keynote speaker at your event or organization at sam@samantharuth.com “Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass...It’s about learning to dance in the rain.”

The merger allowed those in the community experiencing a crisis a single source of help. The unified approach to meeting community needs enabled both organizations to expand their services significantly. Common Ground was founded in 1971 by a group of students, parents and community leaders who were concerned about an increase in substance abuse and suicide among young people. United Community Services volunteers began The Sanctuary, Inc. in response to the growing number of runaway youth in Oakland County. The residential counseling program for runaway and homeless youth, ages 10–17, opened in 1974. The program offered youth two weeks in which to resolve the conflicts that led them to leave home. Today, Common Ground is a 24-hour crisis services agency dedicated to helping youths, adults and families in crisis. Through its crisis line and in person, Common Ground provides professional and compassionate service to more than 80,000 people a year.
