Advised corporate entities and private equity institutions navigating state and federal regulations and positioning in anticipation of litigation. Advised clients on a vast array of FINRA, SEC, CFTC and BSA/AML compliance and regulatory issues.

Provided litigation support for a large and complex financial trial relating to the collapse of mortgage-backed securities during the recession. Handled pretrial preparation of documents, depositions, and pretrial motion submissions in the Southern District of New York Federal Court.

Provided litigation support for high profile political corruption trial in New York Federal District Court. Provided litigation support throughout a lengthy trial process from initial discovery all the way through sentencing. Including drafting motions, cross and direct examination outlines, opening statement and summation talking points.

Provided research and support to staff attorneys based on interpretations to proposed agency rules on specific provisions of the Clean Air Act and related amendments.

Worked under 3 attorneys, including managing partner, of a mid-sized civil litigation firm drafting briefs, writing legal strategy and analysis memoranda to members of the firm and clients. Primary issues were: corporate litigation, municipal tax title recovery, securities litigation, gaming and real estate development.

• Led efforts on behalf of clean energy companies and institutional health care clients in their relationships with the federal government, including Congressional and Executive branches, and Federal Agencies. • Provided services to generate funding for clients through federal entities by procurement, research and development, appropriations, federal and state grants, federal agency loan guarantees, land acquisition, as well as tax provisions. • Developed and implemented government affairs and public relations for large Fortune 500 companies and national foundations and non-profits, as well as national landmark buildings. • Secured a $1 million dollar grant for a start-up company through the State of Maryland Department of Energy.

Created sole proprietorship Steve Gregory LLC, partnered with Stanton Park Group LLC to provide a full range of government affairs, federal marketing, public relations and legislative tracking services. Handled various large companies’ political advocacy for Congressional oversight of mergers and regulatory reform.
