About

I am a board-certified emergency medicine physician. I am currently a partner with Vituity, working primarily at Marin General Hospital and Mercy San Juan Medical Center. I’m also an Adjunct Clinical Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at UCSF Medical Center. I completed residency training at UCSF-San Francisco General Hospital and completed fellowship training in Health Policy and Advocacy at UC Davis Medical Center. I currently serve on the Board of Directors for the California chapter of the American College of Emergency Physicians (CalACEP). I’m passionate about health systems reform, social and political determinants of health, health equity and vulnerable populations, and physician wellness. Featured interviews include CNN and ABC. Featured articles in the Washington Post, San Francisco Chronicle, and Business Insider. Guest appearances on the podcasts EMPulse, The House of Pod, This Is What I’m Saying, and Heal Healthcare. I’m interested in science communications, community outreach, and innovations in health care. I have consulted for health tech companies, venture capital and angel investors, and medical TV shows.
