Senior Mobile Engineer

Contributed to the architecting and development of the Dapper Android application: a multi-signature cryptocurrency wallet with built-in dApp browsing capability. Joined the company with no prior Android experience but became productive in Kotlin and Android development within a month of starting, in-time for project kickoff. Leveraged prior experience with MVVM and functional-reactive programming in designing the app architecture, while also adopting Android best practices such as Clean Architecture and Repository pattern, in order to promote separation of concerns and testability. Integrated modern Android Jetpack SDKs such as Navigation, Room, and ViewModel. As the only iOS engineer in the company, single-handedly developed OAuth and wallet management iOS SDKs for Dapper’s ecosystem of applications to consume, thus accelerating app development time while reducing complexity.

Building out Hootsuite's publishing platform in a full-stack capacity. iOS: Implemented the Instagram publishing flow, which leverages Hootsuite's content scheduling functionality to allow users to also schedule posts to Instagram. Built the image upload preview feature, providing users with a preview of the images that will be published with their post. Scala: Built a brand-new data service as part of Hootsuite's move to a service-oriented architecture. Provides CRUD functionality for scheduled messages - an integral part of Hootsuite's infrastructure.
