How does this work?

Building revenue, building teams, and building companies. I work for early-stage organizations that are looking to grow and need GTM expertise, focusing specifically on highly technical products. I have worked as an individual contributor and built and managed teams. There is a stage in start-up growth where there is a need for senior level expertise, but also a recognition that much of this early work is not glamorous. It is at this stage where I thrive! I focus primarily on building repeatable processes, selling and gathering benchmark customers to help the business get to the next stage of growth, while building and managing a team in as lean a manner as possible. I love the development of the outbound sales/growth efforts as this is where the company’s storyline takes root. I also enjoy mentoring and coaching team members and building enjoyable and collaborative work environments. I have expertise in SaaS, API, mobile, cloud, modern manufacturing, CPAAS, analytics, martech, adtech, AI, machine learning, and I have endless curiosity for new and emerging business sectors. I have a strong history of building organizations from the ground up, that generate hundreds of millions in revenue per year! I have helped build enterprise sales organizations, mid-market teams, and structured self-service businesses, all operating on a global footprint. I believe leadership isn't always a title, but is shown in the ability to truly understand colleagues, customers, the product, and vision. I am artistic by nature, analytical by trade, and a leader by example.

Enterprise Sales Leadership - GTM (AMER/EMEA)

SendBird is a chat API and SDK (CPAAS) used by developers and enterprises as a white-label solution and middleware technology. Although chat and messaging is universal, the use of the SendBird solution focused primarily on communities and on-demand platforms. Responsibilities: Hired shortly after the series A of $16 million dollars (August Capital and Shasta Ventures) for GTM efforts in North America, Europe and South America. Worked cross-functionally with product and engineering teams during the build-out and scoping phase of "chat". Achievements: Helped in creating the outbound sales efforts, working closely with SDR's and marketing on messaging and supporting material. Focused specifically on highlighting and extracting the business values as opposed to features of the product. - Exceeded sales targets bringing on many new customers, including incubating and driving the largest company partnerships in North America (Verizon), EMEA (Delivery Hero) and South America (Movile/iFood). - Took part in staffing efforts to grow the team dramatically. - The company raised a $102 million dollar series B (ICONIQ Capital and Tiger Global) based on strong growth efforts. - Developed training materials for new hires to help in aggressive ramp-up.
