About

I was trained as a scientist, but quickly discovered I’m more passionate about translating that science into human results, making complex and often intimidating information accessible to people on their terms, when they need it, and in ways they can easily use. And this is why I’ve spent the past decade bringing data-driven, people-centric customer experiences to leading brands in the healthcare and life sciences vertical with great products and services in this heavily-regulated industry of ours. How? I obsess over how our clients, consumers, and professionals think & act, then I use this always-on customer voice to cut through the bright-and-shiny distractions to craft solid strategies. And I surround myself with people smarter than me that I empower to make something measurably amazing. As a husband and a father of two teens, I also place a premium on work/life balance, both for myself and for those with whom I work--a successful life isn't just a successful career, and without the support and encouragement of my wife and children, I wouldn't have the professional success I enjoy! Founder

I founded Cleverfish primarily as a digital marketing & communications laboratory for concepts and approaches I wanted to test in smaller, more agile healthcare & life sciences environments. Approximately 75% of our work is pro bono, provided to smaller patient advocacy groups, primarily in rare disease, oncology, and women’s health. The remainder of our engagements—which fund our pro bono work--are with early-stage digital health startups & tech companies that provide solutions to life sciences companies.
