Raymond Shuai

CFO | Fintech | Strategy

How does this work?

I am an entrepreneurial, highly versatile and strategically minded CFO with a can do and will do approach to solving complex financial, tax and regulatory issues for fast growing fintech, blockchain and gaming businesses, including but not limited to fundraising, mergers & acquisitions, licensing (UK FCA, Hong Kong HKMA/ SFC, Singapore MAS and Australia ASIC), listings (LSE/ AIM, HKSE and ASX) and corporate structuring. My professional training began in the financial services audit department of Deloitte & Touche, followed by the management programme at JP Morgan. I then moved into capital markets with a boutique investment bank before relocating to Asia to work for Jardine Matheson on their corporate strategy and KPMG within corporate finance and private equity. In 2014, I became an entrepreneur and started two businesses in retail and F&B which I have since divested. I became fascinated by blockchain and digital assets, started investing into it, and founded OpenAlpha in 2017 (merged into CLSA post fundraise) with other experienced professionals from IT, trading, compliance and risk backgrounds to solve some of the many structural issues in a nascent and very exciting industry. I am currently the CFO of T8, a payments and wealth management platform aimed at putting financial control back in the hands of the globally minded mass affluent.
