How does this work?

I am a movement disorders specialist and I see and treat patients with spinocerebellar ataxias, Friedreich ataxia, multiple system atrophy, Parkinson's disease, dementia of Lewy body, Huntington's disease, and other rare genetic movement disorders. I have multiple NIH fundings and also fundings from Michael J Fox Foundation, American Parkinson's Disease Association, Parkinson's Foundation, National Ataxia Foundation, and International Essential Tremor Foundation to study both clinical and preclinical models of movement disorders, including gene therapies and ASO therapies. I serve as the leader for the Clinical Research Consortium for Spinocerebellar Ataxia (CRC-SCA), a consortium constituting 15 medical centers and also serve as the Treasurer for Tremor Research Group, a study group that conducts clinical trials for essential tremor. I am the Vice Chair for the Movement Disorders Section at the American Academy of Neurology and a Scientific Advisor for American Neurological Association. I have published very extensively in the field of movement disorders and I am considered a key opinion leader. I have recieved 2019 Jon Stolk Award for Movement Disorderes in American Academy of Neurology and 2020 Derek Denny-Brown Award in American Neurological Association.
