Work experience

  1. September 2021 – present

    Royal.io

    Software Engineer
Smart contracts, NFTs, and a bunch of other crypto stuff.
  2. November 2019 – March 2021

    Skyflow

    Founding Engineer
Employee #6 Developed / Optimized Cryptography library to enable limited search and computation over encrypted data, built privacy-enabling APIs, secret storage, key rotation, secure compute lambdas and a bunch more cool stuff.
  3. April 2018 – November 2019

    Lyft

    Software Engineer
Worked an AV Data Infrastructure. We ingested, indexed, processed, computed metrics, and a bunch more downstream stuff on about 30TB of raw logs from our fleet of development vehicles driving around everyday. Then I built a large-scale AV simulation platform for the definition and execution of large simulation jobs. The platform was used to run tens of thousands of simulations per day. We ran large suites of unit, integration, and random scenario-based simulations to validate, smoke-test, and stress test development versions of software before they could be deployed to the vehicle.
  4. January 2018 – April 2018

    Surecave

    Full Stack Developer
I went to NYC to visit a friend and after 4 days decided to stay for a bit longer. I worked at Surecave to pay for an apartment for the 10 weeks I was there. All-in-all a phenomenal experience.
  5. June 2017 – January 2018

    CNSPEC

    Engineering Manager
(Based in Shanghai, China) I worked as the manager of a team of 3 that I interviewed and hired myself. The office language of CNSPEC is Mandarin, so I spoke exclusively Mandarin with my co-workers and my direct-reports. CNSPEC is an interesting startup that is working on software for real estate that makes use of very high quality 3D models. We made use of Unity Game Engine, Babylon.js, OpenLayers and more to provide clients with access to high quality 3D models and 2D maps of their properties. We built a wide variety of applications including Bluetooth-powered Indoor Navigation, Customer Service / Navigation Kiosks, a visitation system, maintenance issue reporting, BIM data management frontend and many more!
  6. May 2016 – August 2016

    Lyft

    Intern
Worked on Automation Team to build and maintain Lyft's internal testing infrastructure.
  7. January 2015 – September 2015

    RedCranePrints

    CEO / Founder
RedCranePrints is a poster printing company that I started that is focused on empowering young / undiscovered artists to create and get paid to do it.
  8. April 2014 – December 2014

    Leo / Camoji

    Android, Server, iOS Engineer
I am charged with the continuing development of the Android client for Leo's disappearing messaging app service. After a company's pivot, I was moved to the server dev team. After a couple weeks of careful study, I was able to start pushing changes to the backend code. I then went on to single-handedly engineer the initial backend for Camoji, the new product for the company. After the initial server work was completed, I transitioned to doing iOS work, another area of interest that I initially had no idea how to do. After another couple weeks of doc reading and studying code, I was able to start pushing changes to the iOS repos. All in all the most phenomenal summer that I have ever had.
